These couplings with sphere shutters have been created to satisfy some requirements of functionality and safety that other kinds of couplings don’t have. Quick screwing and releasing through a particular trapezoidal thread also in the presence of a residual pressure in the circuit. Total functionality through a preopening spacer even if the coupling isn’t completely screwed.
